Description
Experience two of Vanuatu’s outer islands through a half day trek and an afternoon swim or snorkel, and support local communities who are conserving their reef and forest resources.
At Nguna, you have a choice which walk you do (please choose your walk before you depart). The Volcano Walk takes you atop one of Nguna’s extinct volcanoes, Mt Marou (472m), where you will be rewarded with sweeping views across the Shepherd Islands to the north, and south to Efate. Parts of the walk are steep and it takes 3 hours on average. Or just take an easier Village Walk, adapted to your fitness level, to explore either upland or coastal villages.
After the morning walk, enjoy a buffet lunch by the beach on neighbouring Pele Island and then swim and snorkel the lagoon or reef.
Please bring: sunhat, bottle of water, suitable footwear (strong shoes or boots), togs and towel, personal reef shoes and snorkeling equipment (if you have it, otherwise snorkel gear provided), sunscreen and insect repellent, dry bag if rain or salt spray on the boat ride.
