The highlight of any visit to Tanna is Yasur Volcano. Your afternoon safari to Yasur will take you through many highland villages before arriving at the startling moonscape of Yasur’s ash plain. An exhilarating drive up the volcano’s slopes is followed by a 10-15 minute walk to the crater’s edge (dependent on volcano activity at the time). As the sun sets, the true power of the volcano becomes apparent as volcanic explosions ring in your ears and molten lava lights up the sky. A truly unforgettable experience!
