Getting to Vanuatu
Most international travellers arrive in Vanuatu via Port Vila (Bauerfield International Airport) on the island of Efate. Following are some of your choices to get to and from Vanuatu, but check airline schedules for up-to-date information!
Daily flights from Brisbane, Australia (Virgin & Qantas) and Nadi, Fiji (Fiji Airways).
Up to 4 flights per week from Sydney, Australia (Jetstar), Noumea, New Caledonia (Air Caledonie & Aircalin) and Auckland, New Zealand (Solomon Airlines). From 1 July 2026 there will also be 2 flights per week from Christchurch, New Zealand (Solomon Airlines).
Weekly flights from Honiara, Solomon Islands and Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea (Solomon Airlines & Air Niugini).
You can also fly internationally into Luganville (Pekoa International Airport) on Espiritu Santo, from Brisbane. This flight is operated by Solomon Airlines and will increase to 2 flights per week later in 2026.
